Fournier said the cost Russia has paid for its aggression has been “nothing” on Thursday’s “Special Report” on the Fox News Channel. And, “You heard the president, just now, say ‘as soon as we have an invasion, that’ll be to be a different matter’ ... there's been an invasion. He's got Crimea. The sanctions have been too little, too late, too soft. Not only do we not have Putin worried about the president, he's not even been given reason to even have any pause about what the president will do.”
Washington Post columnists George Will and Charles Krauthammer also criticized Obama’s handling of Russia. Will remarked that Putin will do “whatever he wants to do. Because there's no credible military force. And the idea that great powers are going to turn on a dime and reverse their course because of sanctions on chicken and things is preposterous.” “He [Putin] doesn't care about Obama or the United States or the EU or the chicken,” Krauthammer added.
