Larry Elder: Rand Paul Lending Fuel to Notion that Police Are the Enemy

Talk radio host Larry Elder criticized Sen. Rand Paul’s (R-KY) recent comments on the militarization of the police on Tuesday’s “Laura Ingraham Show.”

“I get the idea of making sure that [the] Republican Party is embracing black people and trying to attract black people…but to lend fuel to this notion that cops are out to get us is undermining the very effort” he said.

Elder also criticized those who have attacked the lack of African-Americans in the Ferguson Police Department, stating “as far as the underrepresentation of the police department is concerned, are people applying?”

He also declared the case against Officer Darren Wilson “done.”  He argued that conflicting witness statements, and the fact that the family’s autopsy is consistent with the possibility of Brown charging the police mean that the case against Officer Wilson is weak.
