Report: ISIS Militants Operating in Open, Kurds Angry with US

NBC News Chief Foreign Correspondent Richard Engel reported that “ISIS fighters are operating in the open” and that Syrian Kurds are “very frustrated” that the US has not targeted these militants who are completely visible and easy to find on Monday’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports” on MSNBC.

Engel described what he was witnessing from Turkey near the border with Syria, saying “the ISIS fighters are operating in the open. They are crossing an open field, they are dressed in black and they have been exchanging gunfire and we are on this hilltop watching the battle unfold and we’ve been talking to other Kurds who have been watching the same thing and they’re very frustrated because they say if the US wants to carry out airstrikes and wants to attack ISIS, there they are. They are operating not in a hidden way. They are easy to find. Obviously the US is carrying out some airstrikes against ISIS, just not on a scale that the Kurdish fighters would certainly like to see.”
