Clinton: I Feel Like an ‘Old Racehorse’ Dems ‘Drag Out’ to Win Their Races

Today on the campaign trail in Michigan, former President Bill Clinton offered an analogy in which he compared himself to a “retired old racehorse,” getting “dragged out,” of his barn to win desperate Democrats elections for them.

The 68-year-old former president said, “Every election season I kinda feel like an old retired racehorse. And you know I’m off in the barn and all of a sudden some nice looking young person shows up with an extra bail of hay. Then they come in and brush my coat real nice. Somebody puts on the rein, and puts a bit in my mouth, drags me off to the track, slaps me on the rear to see, I wonder if he can get around the track one more time.”
