Earnest Compares Soldiers Ebola Quarantine to Getting Haircuts

Tuesday at the White House press briefing, press secretary Josh Earnest compared the military considering mandatory quarantine for returning soldiers who were working to end the Ebola outbreak in West Africa to getting unflattering haircuts.

Unlike the unnecessary “burden” Earnest said the quarantines would cause to “hero” health care workers yesterday, today he downplayed any sacrifice of a quarantine military members would undergo.

“There are a wide range of scarifies that our men and woman in uniform make for the sake of efficiency and for the sake of uniformity and for the success of our military so to take a more pedestrian example then the medical one we are talking about there might be some members of the military who think that the haircut that is required might not be their best but its a haircut that they get every couple of weeks because it is in the best interest of their unit,” Earnest said.
