Scarborough: Both Democrats, Republicans 'Cowards' in 2014 Midterms

On his Thursday broadcast, MSNBC “Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough attacked Democrats for avoiding President Barack Obama and his policies altogether, despite some of them having been successful according to Scarborough. But added Republicans weren’t without fault.

Scarborough referred to so-called Obama successes, including the auto industry, saving the economy from the brink and health care costs as possible talking points Democrats could have used in their reelection bids.

He said Republican were at fault as well for not doing the same, but Democrats were hurt more because Obama was in power.

“There are a lot of good talking points – I mean, Democrats were cowards,” Scarborough declared. “I think Republicans were cowards as well. I think both sides were afraid to talk about what they really believed in. It just cost the Democrats more this year because it’s their president in the White House.”
