Columnist and author Pat Buchanan said that executive amnesty by the president “will split the Republican Party apart” on Friday’s “McLaughlin Group.”
When asked whether he thinks the president will go forward with his executive order, Buchanan responded “yes, and it will split the Republican Party apart.”
National Review columnist Tom Rogan disagreed, arguing that executive amnesty will “coalesce the GOP, with US News and World Report Chairman and Editor-in-Chief Mort Zuckerman adding that it “will not do the Democrats any help” and host John McLaughlin agreeing with Rogan.
