Mike Lee on Chris Christie Hyper-focus: 'The American People Need to Stand Up to the Media'

On Tuesday’s broadcast of Laura Ingraham’s radio show, Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) explained his position on the abuses of power by the Obama administration, particularly the use of recess appointments being argued before the U.S. Supreme Court.

Lee, however, also took a shot at the media for ignoring abuses by the Obama White House while playing up the current scandal Gov. Chris Christie (R-NJ) is facing.

“What I do know is it’s just plain odd that this much attention is being placed on Chris Christie when the abuses of power have occurred in plain sight – one of which is definitely the abuse of this recess appointment power really goes largely unnoticed by the media. And I think that’s odd. And I think the American people have a right to be outraged by these things and the American people need to stand up to the media at times and say, ‘Look, you’ve got to cover this stuff when it happens.”
