Dallas Socialite Grandmother Sentenced for Trading Child Porn
43-year-old Erika Susan Perdue, a wealthy socialite grandmother of Dallas, will spend 14 years in federal prison for running a child porn operation, according to court records obtained by Breitbart Texas. She was sentenced on Monday after pleading guilty to one count of transporting and shipping child pornography. Perdue also faces eight years of supervised release and a $10,000 fine.
According to court records, the 43-year-old lived in a $1.4 million mansion with her attorney husband. During the work day, Perdue would trade porn and take drugs. Her online name, used for porn trading, was "Classybitch," in person-to-person networks as stated in the sworn complaint.
According to court documents, Perdue traded seven pornographic videos in 2012 with a person she did not realize was an undercover officer. When the officer looked into Classybitch's shared folder, he found 287 files, seven of which he downloaded. These images showed children engaged in various sex acts with adults. Police were able to track Perdue's IP address and arrest her.
Shortly thereafter, police obtained a warrant and searched her University Park home near north Dallas. A number of child pornographic videos and photos were found on the 43-year-old's computer according to federal records.
Perdue admitted to police that she had been trading child porn almost every day since 1999 and later accepted a plea agreement. She reportedly appeared regretful at her sentencing and on she said through tears, "I lost two granddaughters to this," according to the Daily Mail.
According to the Dallas Morning News, Perdue was initially to be sentenced to 20 years in prison--But due to "some pretty severe mental health problems," her time was reduced to 14 years. When Perdue is released from prison, she will be forced to register as a sex offender.
