Protesters Engage Police as POTUS Calls for Peace

While U.S. President Barack Obama took the to the airwaves calling for peace, police officers in Ferguson began to launch tear gas and move their police vehicles in order to disperse protesters and looters.

Twitter users claim that just south of the police station, violence began when protesters tried to flip over a police car as well as various gunshot were fired. Bottles soon began to fly as vandals took to the streets and looting began.

As police in riot gear began to move in they began to fire off tear gas into the crowds ordering them to disperse.

The violence had started just as President Barack Obama began his speech calling for peace.

“That won’t be done by throwing bottles, that won’t be done by vandalizing cars, that won’t be done by damaging property.”
