Picking up where they left off in last week’s viral video, Salon’s Glenn Greenwald and Hollywood screenwriter-turned socialist MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell continued to debate what to label themselves.
At the end of the segment, O’Donnell trots out a clip he wrote for The West Wing in 2005 where Jimmy Smits’s character credits liberals with most of America’s historical progress. O’Donnell notes that this is “what I have always wanted to hear a candidate say.”
