Responding to Mitt Romney's claim that he has never run a business, Newt Gingrich pointed out that he has run four small businesses in his time away from Congress, which he asserted meant "I do know what [small business owners] have to go through to meet a payroll." He shot back that Romney's corporate experience was "at a very different level" than his own, going so far as to say, "Governor Romney may be running for CEO; I'm running for President."
