Speaker of the House John Boehner reacted to Obama's rejection of the Keystone XL pipeline plan, claiming the executive had effectually shipped jobs relating to the oil pipeline's construction to China. Boehner then affirmed that he and the Republican part would continue to push for the project, stating, "This is not the end of the fight."

A Texas medical student well-known in her community as an Iranian activist was mysteriously shot and killed in her car, just yards from her home.
Gelareh Bagherzadeh, 30, was driving through her Houston townhouse complex around midnight on Monday when she was shot dead through her car window.

In an interview with Piers Morgan, former president Jimmy Carter leveled the charge that Newt Gingrich subtly uses racism for political advantage. "I'm not saying he's racist, but he knows the subtle words to use to appeal to a racist group," he stated.
It appears Mr. Carter has been sharing notes with Chris Matthews, who also employed a wheels-within-wheels approach to find fault with Mr. Gingrich's spirited defense of employment over entitlements.

Two smoke bombs were apparently thrown over the White House fence as an "Occupy" protest grew feisty Tuesday evening, FOX News Channel reported.
The White House was put into partial lockdown as a result, after the devices were found on the North Lawn.

This video shows Occupy Baltimore protesters facing off with police during a protest at the site of a proposed juvenile detention center. Though six individuals were arrested, the Occupiers plan to regroup this evening despite a strong police force at the site.
