Javier Manjarres

Javier Manjarres is a first generation American and credits his conservative political philosophy to his parents who legally immigrated to the United States from Colombia and raised him with strict conservative values.

As the managing editor of The Shark Tank, Manjarres was awarded the 2011 CPAC Blogger of the Year and was acknowledged by the conservative activist group FreedomWorks for his efforts during the 2010 election cycle.  Numerous videos and articles from the Shark Tank have been featured on Fox News, The Hill, Wall Street Journal, and other national and local news stations.   Manjarres has appeared as a guest commentator on Univision’s “Al Punto” and numerous radio shows, communicating his strong belief in the America Dream along with his unwavering conservative principles.

IRS' Lerner May Have Revoked Her 5th Amendment Right

Former IRS boss Lois Lerner pled the 5th amendment during the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee hearing, but not before making a statement that she had done nothing wrong and was innocent of breaking any laws. South Carolina Congressman Trey Gowdy (R) took issue with Lerner's refusal to answer questions, saying that she revoked her 5th amendment rights when she remarked that she had not broken any laws or done anything wrong. 22 May 2013

FL Gov Rick Scott Slashes Pork From State Budget

Florida Governor Rick Scott just signed the state's $74.1 billion budget on Monday, but not before vetoing $368 million in special projects and proposed tuition increases. Scott is being hailed for his use of the line-item veto to gut unnecessary pork from the budget, and for giving pay raise $480 million to teachers, $45.5 million for business incentives, as well as other environmentally friendly initiatives like Everglades restoration,which will receive $151.8 million. 21 May 2013
