Thursday Call Sheet: Get Ready for 'Raging Bull 2'

My utopia would be for a cable provider to bribe me with thousands of dollars a month to get off this kick. If that doesn't happen, realistically I would like to see the end of Hollywood's cable television monopoly that is currently the scourge of every community in America and see it replaced with a number of streaming outlets that would compete with one another and, combined, carry every program currently available on cable, especially Fox News and football games. 5 Apr 2012

First Lady to Give Low-Rated 'Colbert Report' Ratings Boost

Well, Colbert is a true-blue friend to the Barack Obama re-election campaign and a fellow crusader in the left's movement to limit political speech, so this might be a nice form of payback to give the low-rated Colbert Report a one-day ratings boost. 5 Apr 2012

Media Corruption 101: Politico Not Interested In NBC's EditGate

What I love about these posts that prove our clown-emperors are not only naked but media-created emperors, is that people get all angry over my reporting of this fact. I know, I know -- I'm supposed to be so outraged by Bill Maher that I don't focus on these two sacred cows, but I just can't help myself. 4 Apr 2012

Report: Studio Cash Flow From Film Plummets 40%

Film operations at Universal, Disney, Paramount, Fox, and Warner Bros are worth about $19.3B, down from $40.2B in 2007. And a big reason for the 52% drop is that studios’ annual home video profits from each TV household fell to $100 last year from $127 in 2007 — and will continue to slide to $93 in 2015. 4 Apr 2012

Predictable: Stewart Trashes Palin, Mocks Everyday Citizens

First off, you have to take Palin's comments painfully literally to use them as a way to spin off that sanctimonious lecture. Secondly, no one in this country has perfected the art of casually dividing Americans in the way Jon Stewart has. He's always been a malevolent, divisive, passive-aggressive clown. 4 Apr 2012
