Video: CNN Can't Answer Criticism of Its Israel Coverage

National Review columnist Lee Habeeb appeared on CNN's dreadful morning program "New Day" Monday to lay out an articulate, intellectual, and ethical case for how recent news coverage of Israel's war of self defense in Gaza has turned the American media into the public relations branch of the terror group Hamas. All CNN's Kate Bolduan could do in response was to play dumb with attacks on straw men. Aug 4, 2014 1:34 PM PT

THR: Hollywood Has No New Black Stars

As good as Chadwick Boseman is in the new James Brown biopic "Get On Up" -- and he's very good -- The Hollywood Reporter correctly notes that Hollywood has no black stars warming up in the bullpen to replace Will Smith (45), Denzel Washington (59), or Eddie Murphy (53). Then there's Samuel L. Jackson who's 65 and Morgan Freeman who just turned 77. Aug 4, 2014 11:48 AM PT

Report: Embattled David Gregory Meets with CNN Chief

With rumors swirling about David Gregory being booted as host of NBC's "Meet the Press" in a few months, a meeting between Gregory and CNN chief Jeff Zucker and news of CNN developing a "prime-time pilot that could be perfect for David," are bound to garner attention. Aug 4, 2014 9:33 AM PT

2006 Flashback: When Hollywood Had the Courage to Stand Up for Israel

Where are Israel's vocal supporters in Hollywood this time around? Back in 2006, a mere 8 years ago, many of those sitting in silence today were as full-throated in their support for Israel as they were in their condemnation of Hamas. This is from a full-page ad in the Los Angeles Times published in August of 2006: Aug 4, 2014 7:56 AM PT

Pool Report: Burning World Can't Keep Obama Off the Golf Course

According to Saturday's White House pool report, America shouldn't be worrying about a fierce Ebola outbreak, our porous borders being overrun by tens of thousands of foreign unknowns, Russian adventurism, Iran's nuke fetish, or Israel's current struggle against an existential threat to its very existence -- because President Obama's not worrying. CNN's Dana Bash Tweets Ensure GOP Can't Win On Border Vote

Either due to direct orders or just because they find him adorbs, CNN is doing as instructed by Obama: ensuring that their coverage of the Republican-controlled Congress falls only one of two ways: Either the GOP doesn't get anything done or what they do get done is pointless and for show. Case in point: two tweets (found by Twitchy) from CNN congressional reporter Dana Bash just one day apart. Aug 2, 2014 6:21 AM PT

Box Office: 'Guardians' Breaks the Summer Slump

Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy" not only buried the previous August release opening-weekend record but finally broke a box office slump that had lasted 7 weeks. Nikki Finke reports that "Guardians" is edging towards a $100 million debut. The official projection is closer to $95 - $98 million, but a full-blown A from CinemaScore could possibly maybe nudge it over $100 million by Monday. Aug 2, 2014 5:56 AM PT

Salon: Fox, Drudge, Breitbart's 'Seamless Web of White Rage'

The polls show the American people turning against Obama and left, especially with respect to the chaos on our border. Salon being Salon dropped a quarter in Kim Messick so he could shriek about his paranoid visions of racism for something like 2,000 rambling words. Aug 1, 2014 11:32 AM PT

'Get On Up' Review: Brilliant Biopic Anchored by Dazzling Lead Performance

There is no question Chadwick Boseman has earned himself a Best Actor nomination. Like Brett Ratner's "Hercules," the "Get On Up" trailers are deceptive. This is no feel-good musical biopic from Tate Taylor, the director of "The Help." This is a sprawling and serious movie about James Brown; a fiercely independent, difficult, complicated, driven, obstinate, egotistical, selfish, brave, trailblazing, patriotic and charismatic musical genius … and in a dazzling career-defining performance, Boseman captures every bit of him. 'Guardians of the Galaxy' Review: Star Wars-Lite

The film's biggest failure is a total lack of suspense. You never once fear for the lives of the main characters or believe Ronan will achieve his dastardly goals. "Guardians" desperately wants to ape the operatic adventurism of "Star Wars" but seems to forget that the humor came from believable characters and situations, and that the early annihilation of an innocent planet and death of a main character made the stakes feel real. Geraldo Rips Drudge over Ebola/Border Coverage

After the media's plan to use the border crisis as propaganda for Obama's amnesty backfired, the media either stopped covering the crisis altogether or buried its coverage. This left the job to New Media outlets like Breitbart News and the Drudge Report. After Drudge linked to an alarming World Net Daily article that reasonably suggested our unsecured borders are even more frightening during an outbreak of the deadly Ebola virus, Geraldo Rivera flipped out. WaPo Admits 'Immigration Is Now President Obama’s Worst Issue'

You often hear the media lament about how the budget and staff cut that have hit news outlets for decades primarily affect overseas news gathering. Gone first are the foreign bureaus, correct? You wouldn't know that looking at today's news coverage. The media is all over the Ukraine, Gaza, and the Ebola outbreak in Africa. Meanwhile ,a real crisis right here in America at our own Southern border is all but ignored. Jul 31, 2014 12:48 PM PT

CNN Anchor Calls Fox News Editors 'F*cksticks'

Using his verified Twitter account, CNN anchor and correspondent Bill Weir lashed out at Fox News as "willfully ignorant fucksticks" over a tweet from the network's Website Fox Nation about the "climate" not cooperating with Al Gore. Jul 31, 2014 9:11 AM PT

Gaffey Grimes: Put Bumper Stickers In Your Yard!

Wednesday Kentucky Democrat Allison Grimes, who's in a tight U.S. Senate race to unseat Republican Mitch McConnell, waxed eloquent about how Israel's Iron Dome anti-missile defense system was somehow helpful in the campaign against Hamas' terror tunnels, which are found deep underground. Thursday we have video from the NRSC of Grimes urging her supporters to put bumper stickers in their years. Jul 31, 2014 8:34 AM PT
