Why GLAAD Lost the 'Duck Dynasty' Wars

"Duck Dynasty" might be produced by a Hollywood network, but its stars (the Robertson family) and its audience are products of the diverse expanse of Middle America that lies between the elite coasts, and we are not going to be bullied. Moreover, we are not going to allow GLAAD and its media allies to attack us and our faith by using Phil Robertson as a stand in. Dec 30, 2013 8:43 AM PT

Ratings: Burning Yule Log Beats 'CBS This Morning'

Between 10pm Christmas Eve and 9am Christmas morning, Texas television station TXA21 broadcast a burning Yule log accompanied by Christmas music. Throughout its run, a large number of viewers tuned in to the virtual fireplace. During its final 30 minutes an average of 28,405 viewers chose to watch a burning log over everything else, which beat the last 15 minutes of "CBS This Morning" on CBS11. Dec 30, 2013 6:10 AM PT

The Top 10 Greatest Christmas Films of All Time

Tough assignment; tough, tough assignment. Paring a list like this down to just 10 demands some heartbreaking choices. In '09, I did a Top 25 for Big Hollywood, and that was hard enough. To get to 10, I decided to purify the list. The film in question had to be "about" Christmas, so no "Die Hard," and no "Lethal Weapon." This even allowed me to remove "Going My Way" and "The Bells of St. Mary's," both of which ranked high in my Top 25. Dec 24, 2013 10:36 AM PT

Christmas Day: A&E Runs 'Duck Dynasty' Super Marathon

Starting at 3:30pm Christmas Day, A&E will broadcast a super marathon of 25 "Duck Dynasty" episodes. The marathon will run until 4am. This will be the second "Duck Dynasty" marathon the network has broadcast after indefinitely suspending Phil Robertson, the series' star, for the crime of discussing Biblical sin, including homosexuality, with GQ Magazine. Duck Hunt: Biblical Scholar Schools CNN's Piers Morgan on Jesus and Homosexuality

In the ongoing "Duck Dynasty" debate, the bigoted media at first planned to toxify Christianity as de facto bigotry. "Since the Bible is very clear about homosexual behavior," the thinking went. "We'll just get over that hump by declaring the Bible bigoted." Well, that only revealed the media as bigoted and backfired. So now the plan is to rewrite Jesus and the Bible. CNN's Piers Morgan tried this further this nonsense the other night. Dec 24, 2013 6:13 AM PT

Phony Fact-Checker PolitiFact: We Didn't See It, So Walker Lied

The fraudsters at PolitiFact have struck again, this time at Republican Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker. In a phony fact-check published at The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, the left-wing fact-check site rates an anecdote in Walker's new book "Unintimidated" as "false" because no one in the media saw it. Even though Walker has two witnesses other than himself, including a Wisconsin State Trooper, PolitiFact declares the Governor a liar because there are no media reports to back the claim that his car was assaulted by pro-union protesters. Five Great Things About 'Man of Steel'

Over the weekend I finally got my chance to see the new Superman movie, "Man of Steel." In the capable hands of producer Christopher Nolan ("The Dark Knight" trilogy) and director Zack Snyder ("Watchmen"), there is no question the franchise has been saved from the meterosexual hell that was "Superman Returns." Media Fail: 'Anchorman 2' Disappoints at Box Office

Never in the history of man has there been a film that received more free mainstream media hype than "Anchorman 2." Will Ferrell was literally everywhere -- either as Ron Burgandy or himself -- and if there was a show on CNN or MSNBC that didn't add to the hype in some way, that would be news to me. Poll: ObamaCare Support Collapses to Record Low

On the very last day to sign up for ObamaCare before the end of the year, President Obama and his signature piece of legislation received more bad news via a sympathetic media outlet. A new CNN poll shows that support for ObamaCare has collapsed to just 35%, a new record low for this poll and a five-point drop in just 30 days. Opposition sits at a whopping 62%. BuzzFeed Downplays Its Role in Justine Sacco Online Assassination

Saturday, after the witch had been burned and mob was hung over on its own self-righteousness, it looks as though the left-wing BuzzFeed wanted to distance itself from its own role in the burning by publishing a misleading Internet autopsy that pieces together how the hunt started. Noticeably missing from the autopsy though, is a crucial Tweet sent by BuzzFeed's own Andrew Kaczynski informing his 100k-plus followers that Sacco's tweet "may be the worst tweet of all time." Why Did BuzzFeed & Co. Target Justine Sacco for Online Assassination

Maybe BuzzFeed and its sorry band of elite media minions chose Sacco to send an intimidating message that says no one is safe from their speech rules, even nobodies with 174 Twitter followers. Randomly pulling people from their online homes as an example to the rest of us, is certainly going to have a chilling effect. But maybe it was a targeted hit based on a personal grudge or agenda we will never know about. Dec 21, 2013 6:44 AM PT

CNN's Brianna Keiler to Obama: 'What's Your New Year's Resolution?'

In Friday's press conference, which CNN itself described as a "rare" thing, President Obama took to the podium ready to take questions. Millions have lost their insurance, the Administration is scrambling only hours before the deadline to carve out even more confusing ObamaCare exemptions, and the Middle East is a mess. But what was the question from CNN's Brianna Keilar? She asked the president what his New Year's resolution was. Dec 20, 2013 12:25 PM PT

Two Hours Before Obama Presser, ObamaCare Site Crashes

Early Friday afternoon, as millions of Americans who had their insurance plans scrambled to get coverage before the deadline -- which is just a couple days away -- the federal ObamaCare Website crashed (see screencap above). This occurred 20 days after the Obama Administration reassured America the site was fully-functioning for a "vast majority" of users. Dec 20, 2013 9:17 AM PT
