Michelle R. Jones is the Director of Breaking News for the Alabama Media Group. Poll: ObamaCare Favorable Rating With Democrats Plummets to 55%

The Kaiser Foundation has been tracking public approval of ObamaCare going back to April of 2010. The poll's latest results hit some new records, and none of them are good news for the White House. Only 33% have a favorable view of the president's signature piece of legislation; that's a record low. Forty-nine percent have an unfavorable view, which is only two-points off the record. Most striking is that approval among Democrats has plummeted 15 points, from 70% to 55%. Nov 22, 2013 9:04 AM PT

Streaming Revolution: Viewers Flee MTV, Comedy Central

In the month of October, two cable channels that cater almost exclusively to young people lost viewers by double digits. Comedy Central's primetime audience dropped 19%, MTV's 32%. In average daily viewership, Comedy Central is down 10%, MTV 18% There are probably many reasons for this, but my guess is that streaming is a big one. Nov 22, 2013 7:50 AM PT

'JFK Ultimate Edition' Review: Oliver Stone's Brilliant, Audacious Lie

Spike Lee's "Malcolm X" (1992) holds my top spot, but Oliver Stone's "JFK" (1991) is undoubtedly my second favorite film of the 1990s. When I first saw this masterpiece, I was still a liberal and therefore bought into its every deceit, fabrication, half-truth, and outright lie. Since growing up, I must say that Stone's hysterical attempt to rewrite an assassin and a president into something today's Left can live with, has lost none of its power to enthrall and entertain. Washington Post: Politico's Pay for Playbook

Politico and one of its star reporters, Mike Allen, now find themselves at the wrong end of a thorough evisceration courtesy of Washington Post media reporter Erik Wemple. Allen and Politico appear to have been caught red-handed in what might be described as pay-for-play or "native advertising"; the dark art of "special interests that pay for slots in the [Politico] newsletter get[ting] adoring coverage elsewhere in the playing field of 'Playbook.'” Nov 21, 2013 9:34 AM PT

ObamaCare Forces Woman Into Welfare Program

Thursday, in the Wall Street Journal, Nicole Hopkins tells the heartbreaking and infuriating story of how the injustice that is ObamaCare forced her mother, 52 year-old Charlene Hopkins, on to the welfare program known as Medicaid. Yes, forced. First, ObamaCare canceled a policy she was happy with, and then the ObamaCare exchange tricked her into signing up for Medicaid by making that her only option. Nov 21, 2013 7:22 AM PT

Sebelius: 'Bad Call' to Launch ObamaCare On October 1

During a Tuesday interview with the Associated Press, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius went off the White House talking points and admitted that launching the federal ObamaCare exchange on October 1 was "a bad call." Sebelius was responding to questions about the decision launch despite warnings that the site was not ready or properly tested for security. Nov 20, 2013 11:02 AM PT

Time Breaks From Media: Reports On Future ObamaCare Debacles

While the mainstream media has had no choice other than to report on ObamaCare's ongoing smoking guns of failure, something the media has adamantly refused to do is look ahead and report on what horrors ObamaCare will bring next. Time Magazine broke with that three-year media tradition Wednesday to warn its readers that Obama's promise about keeping your doctor will not live up to reality. Nov 20, 2013 8:51 AM PT

Report: MSNBC Not Eager to Bring Back Alec Baldwin

Page Six reports that Alec Baldwin's two-week suspension for calling a photographer a "c**ksucking f*g," is likely to become permanent. Moreover, MSNBC is not going to miss him. The actor is apparently something of a monster to work with. Nov 20, 2013 8:04 AM PT

CBS Poll: 84% of Democrats Want ObamaCare Changed or Repealed

A fascinating number in Wednesday's CBS poll is that only 7% of the American public want ObamaCare "kept in place." A full 93% either believe that changes are needed to the law (48%) or want a full repeal (43%). This pits President Obama and Democrat lawmakers -- who thus far have refused to make any meaningful changes -- against 93% of the American people and 72% of Democrats. Nov 20, 2013 7:09 AM PT

CBS Poll: Obama, ObamaCare Crash to Record Lows

A CBS News poll released Wednesday shows that President Obama and his signature piece of legislation have hit record lows. State Department Leaves Translators Behind In Iraq, Afghanistan

Monday, "The Lead with Jake Tapper" highlighted the story of former Army Captain Brian Larson, an Iraq war veteran desperately trying to get the Iraqi interpreter, who was a crucial part of his team during the war, out of that country before he's killed. State Department red tape is apparently making that next to impossible. Nov 19, 2013 12:58 PM PT

ABC News Poll: Youth Abandon Obama and ObamaCare

A poll released by ABC News Tuesday shows that President Obama's approval rating has hit an all-time low in this particular poll. But the biggest fallout has come from 18 to 29 year olds, a demographic widely considered to be Obama's base. Since January, the president's approval rating with this group has dropped a stunning 23 points. Support for ObamaCare has lost 16 points with this same group in just one month. ABC News Poll: Two-Thirds Oppose Individual Mandate

Tuesday's ABC News poll holds no good news for President Obama, and no real new news. The fact that Obama's approval ratings are plummeting have only been further confirmed by this poll, as have the collapse of his favorability ratings and public support for ObamaCare. What is of note, though, is that 65% now oppose what is the heart and soul of ObamaCare, the individual mandate. Nov 19, 2013 9:41 AM PT

Whoops: ObamaCare Success Story Can't Afford ObamaCare

During an Oct 21 Rose Garden appearance designed to push back on the bad news surrounding the ObamaCare rollout, President Obama told America that he had received a grateful letter from a single mother. After 15 years of being uninsured, ObamaCare had finally made it possible for Jessica Sanford to purchase health insurance. Unfortunately, that ended up not being true. Nov 19, 2013 7:17 AM PT
