Ratings Show 'Meet the Press' Collapse Began With Gingrich/Food Stamp Debacle

In December of 2008, David Gregory took over as the permanent host of NBC's "Meet the Press," the then-41 year-old current affairs show and longest running program on network television. Over two years later, Gregory was in first place and even drawing the same number of viewers as his predecessor, Tim Russert. The beginning of Gregory's ratings fall would finally arrive in May of 2011, when Gregory accused Newt Gingrich of racism for using the words "food stamps" in reference to President Obama. Media Target the Powerless; Protect Powerful Liars, Bigots & Race Hoaxers

Today, after much of the media chose not to report on Alec Baldwin's reprehensible behavior, he is in talks to join NBC News. Meanwhile, the clown has been banned for life, the president of the organization that hired him has been forced to resign, and the powerful NAACP is demanding a full investigation. Conservative Columnist Kathleen Parker: 'Hillary Can Save the World'

Kathleen Parker shot to fame in 2008 with her attacks on then-vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin. Immediately afterwards, a columnist practically no one had heard of, became a mainstream media darling. This would be followed by Parker's humiliating failure co-hosting a short-lived CNN show with Eliot Spitzer. Desperate again for the spotlight, Parker went on MSNBC Wednesday to claim Hillary Clinton "can save the world." Aug 14, 2013 10:53 AM PT

Vacationing Obama Golfs, Cocktails with Mainstream Media

President Obama is enjoying the August recess with an extended vacation at the home owned by a millionaire in Martha's Vineyard. He is also using this time to rub social elbows with big shots in the same mainstream media charged with covering his Administration. Aug 14, 2013 9:32 AM PT

CBS Fails to Identify Jesse Jackson Jr. as Democrat

Funny, I don't remember CBS having a problem repeatedly identifying Todd Akin as a Republican during the 2012 election. But CBS This Morning couldn't quite bring itself to identify Jesse Jackson Jr. as Democrat in its Wednesday report about the disgraced Congressman's sentencing for spending $750,000 in campaign funds on personal items and not reporting $600,000 in income to the IRS. Oprah Backpedals Racism Charge; Doesn't Apologize to Shopgirl

Winfrey backpedaled away from her claim that she had been a victim of racism by a Swiss shopgirl who refused to show her a $38,000 alligator purse. After this shopgirl publicly branded Winfrey a liar, Winfrey not only said she was "sorry" the incident had "blown up," the billionaire media mogul also changed her story. Aug 14, 2013 6:53 AM PT

'Other People's Money' (1991) Review: The Most Conservative Movie Ever Made

How this one slipped through, I will never know. But in 1991 director Norman Jewison and screenwriter Alvin Sargent (adapting a hit play) teamed up for what at first looks like just another one of those slick "Wall Street" type movies that condemns American capitalism and those who most effectively practice it: Wall Street tycoons. Race Hoax? Oprah 'Apologizes' After Accused Racist Calls Her a Liar

With hardly any scrutiny or skepticism, the mainstream media allowed one of the most powerful persons in the world to attack a powerless sales clerk as a racist. And now that this anonymous sales clerk has branded Oprah Winfrey a liar, the billionaire media mogul is trying to make it all go away with a non-apology apology. Aug 13, 2013 11:02 AM PT

Politico Reporter: Hillary Made 'Verbal Typo,' Not a Gaffe

Today's mainstream media is merciless at using slips of the tongue to undermine the competency of Republicans. Democrats, however, always get a pass. This morning I tweeted out the story of Clinton's Medgar Evers slip. Politico's White House reporter, Glenn Thrush, responded: "Verbal typo. She knows her civil rights." Aug 13, 2013 9:14 AM PT

NBC/CNN/Politico Cover Up Hillary's Gaffe, Voter ID Extremism

The media push to protect and promote Hillary Clinton is well underway. The idea here is not just to ensure that she faces no damaging primary opposition, but that she steamrolls any Republican who dares try to stop her. Our media is manufacturing a coronation, not a campaign. In order to do this, the media is already ignoring Clinton's gaffes and her extremism on the issue of voter ID. Aug 13, 2013 8:48 AM PT

CNN Anchor Openly Sides with 17% Who Oppose Voter ID

CNN's Carol Costello hosted Dale Ho, an ACLU lawyer who heads their voting rights division. It was a one-sided discussion where Ho was allowed to spew talking points against North Carolina's new voter integrity laws because Costello was hardly able to summon the strength to challenge. Never once, though, did Costello mention that 83% of voters are in favor of voter ID laws. Moreover, 72% of Democrats are in favor of requiring a government-issued ID to vote. Politico Publishes Media Matters' Attack on CNN's 'Rightward Shift'

You have to give it to Politico and Media Matters. What a genius stroke to team up for an Orwellian attack against CNN that accuses the network of a "detectable rightward shift." Though David Brock, founder of Media Matters, has all kinds of space of his own to spew propaganda, Politico apparently felt this particular editorial was important enough to host and promote on their own real estate. 'Butler' Director Launches Racial Smear Against 'White Folks'

Lee Daniels, director or "Lee Daniels' The Butler," can't seem to keep his charges of racism straight. I always thought that a sure sign of racism was how much rural whites love to see black people "perform." But now Daniels is claiming that he had to stock his latest film with white actors out of the fear that unless he did, rural whites would not want to see a film starring only black people.
