A new report identifies two founders of Progress Kentucky as the parties responsible for recording a February 2nd strategy meeting at Senator McConnell's campaign office that was later published by Mother Jones. Breitbart News was the first site to present the possibility, based on sources close to the campaign, that the recording might have been made by placing a microphone near a back door leading to a hallway. 11 Apr 2013

And it's not as if he didn't know that Weiner is trying to rehabilitate himself with this interview. Later in the story he writes "there certainly was a lot of strategic thinking in deciding to tell their story six months before the mayoral primary." Privately Funded Neighborhood Security on the Rise

As cities are forced to lay off police officers for budgetary reasons, some residents are responding by hiring private security guards. Doug Mosher, an Oakland resident says "At its current staffing level, [the police] are just unable to provide regular patrols up in the neighborhoods." The result has been an increase in break ins and crime. But residents--primarily those in upscale neighborhoods who are frequent targets--are fighting back.
