Teen Sentenced for Killing Friend During Game of Russian Roulette

GRAND HAVEN, Mich. (WZZM) - A Michigan teenager was sentenced to at least three years in prison for shooting his friend in the face during a game of Russian Roulette earlier this year. 18-year-old Richard Usher (pictured above) will serve two years for a felony firearm charge and then somewhere between one and fifteen additional years for manslaughter. Man Busted for 11th DUI, 'Rests Eyes' During Mugshot

Scientist Training Beagle Named Elvis To Detect Polar Bear Pregnancies

CINCINNATI - After reading stories about dogs being used to detect cancer, an animal conservation scientist at the Cincinnati Zoo has enlisted the help of a Kansas handler to train a 2-year-old beagle named Elvis to help detect when polar bears are pregnant. Feds: Navy Secrets Purchased With Hookers and Gaga Tix

Unusual accusations are unfolding in a federal court case in San Diego -accusations that involve a gregarious Malaysian businessman, Leonard Francis (aka Fat Leonard), military secrets, prostitutes and Lady Gaga tickets. Prosecutors in court papers say Francis, who is well known among U.S. Navy commanders in the Pacific for having serviced warships for 25 years, obtained military secrets by bribing a U.S. commander with prostitutes and Lady Gaga tickets.  The scandal is reverberating throughout the Navy as it signals serious national security breaches and corruption. High-level meetings at the Pentagon suggest that even more people, including those of higher ranks, could be investigated. 2 Planes Collide Carrying Skydivers, Everyone Lives

WISCONSIN - Nine skydivers and two pilots escaped serious injury when two planes collided midair Saturday evening in far northwest Wisconsin near Lake Superior. Belgium Considering Euthanasia Law For Kids

BELGIUM - The government in Belgium is considering new legislation that would allow for children under the age of 18 and adults with early dementia to request euthanasia. Euthanasia is already legal in Belgium for people over the age of 18 but no other country has ever extended the law to children. Advocates believe that euthanasia for children, with parental consent, gives families an option in a desperately painful situation. Severed Finger Points Police To Theft Suspect

GLENDALE, Ariz. - Police say a man suspected of theft was arrested after his severed finger left at the alleged crime scene was used by police to identify him.  A police spokeswoman said, "His own finger put him behind bars." Joshua Allen Goverman, 29, was booked on suspicion of theft, related to an incident that occurred October 7, when someone attempted to steal copper wiring from the back an air-conditioning truck parked in a driveway.
