Illinois Criminalizes Citizen Journalism

Leave it to the Illinois General Assembly to do the wrong thing again. This week they voted down House Bill 3944, a bill to amend the state's brutally antiquated Eavesdropping Act. The Illinois Eavesdropping Act makes it a Class 1 Felony that carries a penalty of up to 15 years in prison if you record police officers on duty (as well as some other state officials, such as judges, state's attorneys, etc.). 24 Mar 2012

Democrats Infiltrate Chicago GOP with 'Schakowsky Republicans'

What's a Schakowsky Republican you ask? Good question.... Probably not much different than many "Chicago Republicans." If you are any bit familiar with the Chicago machine, it is no secret that the Chicago GOP that does exist, along with the state Republican Party itself, is heavily influenced by democrats and democrat operatives. Video Warfare: New Media Calls For New Campaign Strategies

There couldn’t be anything more convenient in timing for the rise of the new political activist than all of the new methods available to deliver information to public. Chicago Teachers Union Pawns Protest Rahm: Protesters Can't Explain Signs, Organizers Get Aggressive

Monday night Chicago Teachers Union and Occupy Chicago protesters, along with some local residents, showed up in Chicago's North Center neighborhood to protest converting 18 public schools into charter schools. While none of the schools considered for conversion are in the north-side neighborhood, these community organizers chose this location specifically because it is where Mayor Rahm Emanuel resides. 22 Feb 2012

Busted on Video: Romney Camp Takes Down Hundreds of Santorum Signs; Cops Watch

In Michigan, Santorum supporters planted hundreds of campaign signs in Shelby Township prior to Mitt Romney’s appearance today. Some of these signs were planted alongside sidewalks and roadways across from and surrounding the Romney campaign stop. Approximately two hours before the scheduled event, Romney campaign staffers, including Dennis Lennox of Topinabee, MI, began planting Romney signs in front of the location. Around the same time, several other people, who refused to identify themselves, began uprooting hundreds of Santorum signs along the roadway leading to the event. Signs placed at a commercial intersection were also removed. 22 Feb 2012
