David Gregory: ‘There Was Some Snark In the President’s Tone’

Both NBC’s Chuck Todd and David Gregory agree that Obama is in trouble.

When it comes to this meme about Romney moderating his views in last night’s ebate, Todd said, “Obama has bigger problems than disqualifying Romney. He still has to make his own case for a second term.”

Gregory believes Obama’s “horses and bayonets’ comment was “snarky,” but that Obama has something to work with. Gregory thinks Obama can make a case that Romney’s “flip-flops” make the challenger less trust-worthy.

I think it’s fair to say, though, that both believe the trajectory of the race currently favors Romney.
