Days After Ombudsmen Exits, WaPo Busted in Stealth Correction

It was just last week that the once-legendary Washington Post ended the four decade run of its Ombudsmen. Patrick Pexton was the last person to hold that role. Now that he's gone,  so is the role of an independent watchdog free to criticize his own paper when it does something biased or unethical.

As if to prove the old adage that when the cat's away the rat's will play, Pexton's chair had barely cooled before the Post was caught stealth correcting a high-profile piece.

What's even more laughable is that this awful newspaper lectures others on journalistic ethics.
