Crumbs in exchange for party unity

I read this piece earlier in the morning and thought it was quite the insight into how the administration keeps people on its side in line.  I suppose that you could say that these gun control advocates are so desperate for something they could claim as a victory, that they would abide by the restrictions imposed on them.

I have a hard time imagining that the GOP would get the same cooperation from within the ranks, and instead we would see a group in opposition pop-up immediately and start fundraising.
