McCain Says U.S. Ready to Assist Militarily in Mali
Could the U.S. be getting involved in another overseas conflict to fight Islamist fundamentalism? This could very well be the case, according to U.S. Senator
John McCain, who is visiting the Saharan country of Mali.
McCain said that the U.S. government is open to lend support to the African country, and is ready to support French and allied military forces with presumable
military "equipment, training, and technology."
"We will work with the French forces, assess the French and allied forces on the ground, and see to what extent we can provide equipment, training, and technology to rid Mali of these rebels which include al Qaeda"- Sen. John McCain
