Accurately Reporting Black On White Crime
Thanks for pointing that out, David. I wasn't aware that I'd left that important detail out of the headline until you mentioned it. I haven't considered it media malpractice to leave race out of the headline as long as the race of the perpetrators wasn't ignored in the reporting of the story. Unfortunately, that happens all too often in the reporting of black on white crimes.
Apparently the thinking is, accurately reporting crime would "unfairly stigmatize racial groups."
Black on white violence is statistically more common than white on black, and seems to be on the rise, but the MSM has done a pretty good job of covering that up. So you're probably right that the race of the perpetrator(s) should be mentioned right up front.
