Texas Governor Stand By His Friend's Re-Election Campaign
Texas Governor Rick Perry has come out early to support his friend and 'jobs-creation' adversary, Rick Scott's gubernatorial re-election campaign. Perry expressed his support for Scott at a 'economic summit' in Palm Beach Florida, where the two men accepted an invitation to appear together and discuss their successful jobs-creation track record.
Perry is expected to announce his intentions for 2016 later on this year, and Scott will undoubtedly face a tough re-election challenge from former Florida Governor Charlie Crist and/or former Florida CFO Alex Sink. Back in 2010, Sink narrowly lost to Scott, and has not ruled out another run at Scott in 2014.
Since Crist is now a Democrat, he would face a bloody primary race against Sink, who will go after Crist's evolving political ideology and wavering principles.
