NY Times Will Not Devote a Reporter to Gosnell Trial After All
Having been on the Gosnell case for a few days, the NY Times is now pulling back.
After the Times' public editor was critical of the paper's lack of coverage, editors assigned reporter Trip Gabriel to cover the trial Monday. He submitted one story Monday evening which appeared on page A12 of Tuesday's paper.
Today a columnist for the Bucks County Courier Times noted that Gabriel will not be covering the trial on a daily basis.
Asked for clarification by Steve Erfelt of Life News, Gabriel confirmed the Times would be covering "highlights" rather than offering daily updates.
The prosecution is expected to rest its case tomorrow. The trial will resume Monday when the defense will begin to present its case.
