Churnalism 101

In response to Bad science writing 101:

I wrote about your piece at my blog, and noted that this piece also has the virtue of being easy to write, given that one can just regurgitate previous articles about ITER with the slender "new" news-hook of the "breakthrough" of successfully mixing and pouring concrete.  One can imagine that a reporter could write the same story, with all the same background stuff, every time a trivial step is taken in building ITER.

Point is, a commenter informs me that Watts Up With That has a neologism for this form of "journalism" in which the same article is rewritten and repurposed every few months on a thin pretext of a lame new newshook -- "Churnalism."
