Limbaugh Calls Marco Rubio Naive on Immigration, Supports His Play

Conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh has just stated he thought Senator Marco Rubio was "a little naive" when it came to immigration reform. Rush quickly explained that his statement was directed to Rubio overall experience on the issue, adding that he "has it in his power to make or break the deal."

Rush then added that he and Rubio were good friends, and feels that Rubio is one of "few real Conservatives in elected office."

I agree, and would like to add that just because I have been critical of Rubio regarding  immigration reform, I still believe that he is 100% correct on the issue. Personally, I can tell you that Rubio is staunchly against amnesty immigration reform, and the issue I take with him is, his alignment with some the most un-American amnesty-supporting Senators in the U.S. Senate.

Like Rush, I believe that Rubio honestly is looking out for our country's best interest. However, I think that he has done himself serious political damage in trying too hard to fit in with the political establishment in Washington, D.C.

Many of us would have preferred (some of us told him) Rubio to not have signed up on immigration reform with the likes of Senators Schumer, Durbin, McCain and Graham.

We would have liked to see Rubio introduce a bill of his own, with  the support of his fellow conservatives Senators  Rand Paul, Mike Lee, and Ted Cruz, that would have been more transparent and inline with the sentiment of the majority of Americans.

But all hope is not lost on immigration reform. Rubio has already stated that he would not support a bill that compromises his principles, leaving me to add that I have full faith in President Obama and his surrogates in the U.S. Senate, to amend the bill with legislation that will compromise Rubio's principles, effectively forcing him to pull out of the deal.

Like Rush said, Rubio is the deal-breaker with the immigration reform bill. If he pulls out, the deal is over.
