Buying Higher Academia is Okay. Go Lower.

In response to Could the Koch Brothers Save Higher Education?:

If we want to save education, then we should start at the high school level, or lower. Those students and parents who demand more, because they understand the nature of the demand and are vested in it will change the system over time.  A higher institution can't easily indoctrinate a student with a good foundation.

The value in buying media is that by delivering news and opinion that is credible you give the readers a chance to make up their own minds. If they don't treat this enterprise as a business it will fail.

If I had $1 billion to spend for the good of the country, I would focus on education as a foundation that gives Americans the tools they need to make informed decisions.
