From Cinco de Mayo to Mother’s Day

Highlights of the week ahead. The top 3 on my mind. What’s on yours?

  • Benghazi Whistleblower testimony – They knew it was a terrorist attack from the beginning and Democrats run away from Susan Rice and for cover. What happened to the YouTube video?
  • Immigration reform hearings begin in Senate Judiciary.
    • The Senate Judiciary Committee will hold its next executive business meeting at 9:30 am on Thursday, May 9, 2013, to consider S. 744, the Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act. The bipartisan legislation was introduced on April 17. The first amendment circulated to the bill is the Sponsors’ Amendment, which is expected to be offered at the next executive business meeting. A copy of the Sponsors’ Amendment can be viewed here. This document shows changes to the bill as introduced.

All amendments to S.744, which must be filed by 5 p.m. on May 7, 2013, will be posted online. Members of the public will also be able to view a live webcast of the Committee’s executive business meeting.

  • I almost forgot the economy, not really, but Obama and the Democrats wish we Americans would stop bringing it up by the numbers. According to Obama’s soaring speeches it is his number one priority. Then there’s the real amount of time he apparently spends on the economy.

And on the international front.

  • The week after Israel strikes Syria for the second time crossing a real red line, while Obama does a line dance with the help of the NY Times.
  • Meanwhile in Israel, the Iron Dome has reportedly been deployed.

Has anyone seen Obama’s golf or fundraising schedule? Great weather for golf with low humidity and excellent for tented lawn parties in Martha’s Vineyard.
