Will We Add the IRS to List of Government Agencies Refusing to Cooperate with Congressional Oversight?

CNS News is reporting that the Internal Revenue Service has not indicated it will cooperate with the House Ways and Means Committee demand to turn over information related to its targeting of center right groups.

Rep. Boustany (R-LA), chairman of House Ways and Means Subcommittee on Oversight, sent a letter to the Acting IRS commissioner Miller instructing him to provide “all communications containing the words ‘tea party,’ ‘patriot or ‘conservative,’ and the “names and titles of all individuals involved in this discrimination.” Boustany’s deadline for compliance is today.

Non-compliance seems to be business as usual for the Obama administration. The DOJ refused to cooperate with congressional oversight on the Fast and Furious scandal, a refusal which ended with Attorney General Eric Holder being held in contempt of Congress.  Most recently the State Department was reported to be intimidating witnesses to the attack in Benghazi, to keep them from talking to Congress.

Will we be adding the IRS to that list?
