Holy Moly: All 12 'Friday the 13th' Films Arrive on Bluray

It is mind-blowing to realize that the "Friday the 13th" franchise began in 1980 (when I was 14) and ran straight through to 2002, when I was  36. And after 2002, there would still be the release of "Freddy Vs. Jason" in 2003 and the 2009 remake of the original.

Though I have not seen all twelve, the six or seven that represent my teenage years were all must-see "event" films. Sure, they were kind of dumb, but they were also fun. As long as the kills remained creative and the girls hot, me and my pals walked out of the theatre and into the rest of a Friday night satisfied and usually a little in awe of audacity of whatever was added on to Jason's mythology.

For you completists, the full franchise -- a 10 disc collection of all 12 films -- is scheduled for a Bluray release on September 13th, which, naturally, is a Friday.

With the special features, you are looking at somewhere around 30 hours of really short gym shorts, tube socks, and kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill….

The 10-disc collection ($129.95 SRP) includes the twelve films on nine Blu-ray discs, as well as a killer DVD bonus disc full of special features on the making of the famous franchise. The must-own set will be presented in a collectible tin case with 11 hours of previously released special features and a 40-page soft cover book. The book is excerpted from Crystal Lake Memories: The Complete History of Friday The 13th, a fan-favorite volume that’s viewed as the ultimate memoir of the series, and highlights some of the 200 interviews, 600 photos, storyboards, concept art and more. Also included is a brand new, official Camp Crystal Lake embroidered Counselor Patch.

So what is your favorite Jason kill?

Whatever it is, no way it tops this one:
