MILLERSBURG, Ohio (AP) — An Ohio boy admitted to fatally shooting his mother in the head with a rifle when he was 10 years old after they argued over chores.
The incident occurred in January of 2011, when according to an uncle, the boy and his mother got into an argument over carrying firewood, after which, the shooting took place. The boy called 911 from a neighbor’s house and told the dispatcher “I shot my mom. I shot her with a gun.”
On Monday, the boy, who is now 13 entered the equivalent of a guilty plea in juvenile court. His sentence will be determined at a later date.
