Report: One-Third of San Francisco's Homeless Identified as Gay

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - The San Francisco Chronicle reported on Saturday that according to the most recent census required for federal funding, the city of S.F. reported a homeless population of 6,436. For the first time ever, the San Francisco humane services polled 1000 of the homeless about their sexual orientation and discovered that 29 percent identified themselves as gay, bisexual, or transgender.
