Ranger Shot With Same Bullet That Killed Suicidal Woman
GEORGIA - Police are saying that a park ranger was shot in the stomach with the same bullet that killed a suicidal woman. The incident occurred the night of June 26 when D.P. Wright, a ranger for the Army Corps of Engineers, approached a 34-year-old woman sitting in a truck at Lower Buford Dam Park after the park was closed.
Police say investigators found a single bulled casing on the scene and believe the woman and the ranger were both struck by a single bullet. The 70-year-old ranger is expected to be discharged from the hospital this week.
