Hasan: ‘Evidence Will Clearly Show I Didn’t Engage In Workplace Violence’

I’m sure I’m not the first person to make this very obvious point, but I’m going to go ahead and make it anyway. The very idea that this radicalized Muslim who shouted “Allahu Akbar!” when he opened fire on the soldiers at Ft. Hood was engaging in “workplace violence” when he was clearly committing a terrorist act, was always ludicrous.

But in his opening statement Tuesday at his court martial,  Maj. Nidal Hasan removed all doubt when he said “the evidence will clearly show I am the shooter.”

 According to Fox News Hasan told the court the evidence will show he was “on the wrong side, but then [he] switched sides.” The alleged shooter added: “We the Mujahideen are imperfect Muslims trying to establish the perfect religion in the land of the supreme god.”

Thank you sir, you’ve said quite enough. I think we get it. Not. workplace. violence.

But for some reason, (this reason) the U.S. government doesn’t get it. The Regime still characterizes the shooting as “workplace violence,”  shutting the door to victims’ receipt of the Purple Heart and combat related benefits and it’s taking Republicans in Congress to rectify the situation.

That’s another scandal, if you ask me.
