Good Samaritan: Homeless Man Finds and Turns In $42,000

BOSTON - On Saturday, police say a homeless man turned over a backpack he found outside a TJ Maxx store in Dorchester - the backpack was filled with $2,400 cash, $39,500 in Traveler's Cheques and a passport.

Shortly thereafter police were contacted by a Best Buy employee to report a customer had lost a similar bag containing money and personal documents.  The bag was returned to its owner.

According to police, the man who found and turned in the bag listed a homeless shelter as his current address.

And just like that...a little faith is restored.
