A comment made by an Obama administration official in Friday’s Wall Street Journal is turning some heads. The unnamed official made the cold-eyed calculation that it didn’t matter how much pain the nation was feeling due to the government shut down — as long as the Regime was “winning” the propaganda war.
Said a senior administration official: “We are winning…It doesn’t really matter to us” how long the shutdown lasts “because what matters is the end result.”
“This isn’t some damn game!” House Speaker John Boehner thundered as he held up and then slammed down a copy of Friday’s Wall Street Journal.
“The American people don’t want their government shut down and neither do I,” said Boehner. He then called on the president and his aides to “sit down” and negotiate.
