Is a conservative in a blue state conservative in a red state and vice versa?
Localized issues do matter, overlapping conservative values matter more. Conservatives are supposed to be open to debate. Lately it seems as if many in the conservative movement are willing to fall on their single issue swords rather than move the conservative ball down the field.
Stop citing President Reagan and live the words often attributed to him ... "The person who agrees with you 80 percent of the time is a friend and an ally — not a 20 percent traitor." And for common sense sake don't focus on the percentage. That's the easy way out of being uncomfortable with reality.
The answer to my question above is ... Yes!
