UK Experiences Worst Winter Storms in Decades

Great Britain has experienced multiple deaths and dangerous flooding resulting from what most are calling the worst Winter storms the UK has experienced in decades.

At least three deaths have been blamed on heavy rains, high winds and flooding in Britain this week, and more bad weather is on the way, authorities said.

A 27-year-old man from Surrey died after being swept to sea at a beach in Cornwall Tuesday night, and a woman who was swept away before being rescued at sea Tuesday was pronounced dead at a hospital. A man and his dog were found dead, apparently due to fumes from a heater on a boat where they had taken refuge in Oxfordshire.

In another tragic incident, a 47 year-old man died after being caught up in the dangerous conditions.

A man died after his mobility scooter fell into the River Thames on Sunday, police said, as dozens of flood warnings remained in place across Britain.

The 47-year-old was pulled from the river near Oxford, south England, after he fell in while trying to avoid a flooded pathway.

Another individual, 18-year-old Harry Martin, disappeared on Thursday reportedly while taking photographs of the deadly weather conditions.
