Iran is One of the World's Most Racist Countries: Study

As the interim Iran deal goes into effect–on Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. day, no less–it seems timely to note that Iran was identified as one of the most racist countries in the world last year, in a study conducted by two Swedish economists. (India and Jordan were the most racist, and the U.S. was among the least racist.)

Incidentally, the study found that economic freedom is correlated with greater tolerance towards homosexuals (Iran executes them). The study found no correlation between economic freedom and racial tolerance, but did suggest that monetary stability and “the quality of the legal system” were positively correlated with tolerance.
