Policeman Arrested In Prostitution Sting Run By His Own Agency
HOUSTON - During a Wednesday morning operation, investigators say a Harris County deputy constable was arrested during a prostitution sting organized by his own agency. According to investigators, Emmanuel Augustine was observed soliciting an undercover female deputy and was arrested at the scene. He was identified as a deputy constable with the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable's Office which happens to be the same agency working a joint sting operation with the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
Originally hired in 2009 and assigned to East District Patrol, the 29-year-old Augustine was placed on immediate administrative suspension without pay pending an investigation.
He is facing a misdemeanor charge of prostitution (solicitation).
Overheard but not confirmed, Augustine claimed he was setting up his own sting as part of a "double secret" undercover operation within the undercover operation.
