FBI Agents Assoc Joins Revolt Against DOJ Nomination of Cop Killer Advocate

Is there is a major law enforcement group in America that hasn't come out against Obama's ultra radical pick to head the Civil Rights Division of the DOJ? Who supports this nomination? Are there no Democrats in the Senate with enough sense to oppose it? So far, no.

Debo Adegbile cleared his first hurdle toward confirmation  with a 10-8 party line vote in the Senate Judiciary Committee, yesterday. Democrats blocked Maureen Faulker, the widow of murdered Philadelphia Police Officer Daniel Faulkner, from giving testimony against the obnoxious nomination.

"I am physically, emotionally, and mentally distressed that I was not able to be in that room. This is personal to me," said Faulkner said in an interview with Fox News.

The FBI Agents Association is in open revolt against Holder on this one. Paul Mirengoff of Powerline writes, "first it was the Justice Department’s career prosecutors; now it’s FBI agents. The federal employees responsible for fighting crime are simply unable to digest the anti-law enforcement slop being served up by their boss, Attorney General Holder."

Accordingly the FBI Agents Association (FBIAA) has communicated its opposition to Adegbile’s nomination to Vice President Biden, Attorney General Holder, and the members of the Senate Judiciary Committee.

The FBI's opposition to the selection of Adegbile as Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Rights Division is based on the way in which Adegbile defended, and rallied support for cop killer Mumia Abu-Jamal.

The problem isn’t that Adegbile defended Abu-Jamal. The problem, as Bill Otis explains, is that Adegbile led a street campaign to denounce the policeman Abu-Jamal killed, Officer Daniel Faulkner, and the police in general, as an occupying fascist army.

The FBIAA joins the National Fraternal Order of Police, Major County Sheriff's Association, National Association of Police Organizations, National Sheriff's Assoc, and the New Jersey State Policemen's Benevolent Association in opposing the nomination of Adegbile.
