Trey Gowdy's Epic Floor Speech In Support Of Enforce the Law Act Fails To Impress Democrats

Wednesday, Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-SC, delivered a passionate floor speech, eliciting cheers from the gallery, in support his bill, the Enforce the Law Act, which aims to hold the president accountable and check executive abuses. 

In his speech, he asked the president what’s changed since 2008:

And he attempted to shame Democrats into voting for his bill:

The House passed H.R. 4138 in a 233 to 181 vote. 181 Democrats apparently don’t mind being an afterthought as long as the right president is in office. Only five Democrats voted for the bill. No Republicans voted against it.
