Obama Biographer: 'The World Seems To Disappoint Him' (Video)

On MSNBC’s Morning Joe, Tuesday, Obama-friendly biographer, David Remnick claimed that “the world seems to disappoint” the president.

Via The Weekly Standard:

“The profile [of President Obama] that I published in the New Yorker was somebody that eerily, eerily seemed to be claiming himself–it was a sense of not giving up, but of deep frustration–that was the profile that I published in the New Yorker. Somebody frustrated and disappointed,”  Remnick said.

“And that’s what’s frustrating to me sometimes about Obama is that the world seems to disappoint him,” he continued. “Republicans disappoint him, Bashar al-Assad disappoints him, Putin as well. And the fighting spirit sometimes is lacking in the performative aspects of the presidency.”

Poor Obama. Hoping to gain the world’s favor at the beginning of his presidency, he criticized his own country while standing on foreign soil.

He said the US had “failed to appreciate Europe’s leading role in the world” and that “there have been times where America has shown arrogance and been dismissive, even derisive.”

And now, as  Charles Krauthammer notes, “you look anywhere in the world, Russia, China, Ukraine, the Middle East, Syria, anywhere, and our standing is lower than it was when he came into office.”

It would seem the world is just as disappointed in him.
