The MSM – Where Major Stories Go To Die

The media gatekeepers show their bias most in the stories they choose not to tell – stories that don’t fit their preferred narrative. That is not even an opinion – it an undeniable fact that they demonstrate over and over and over again.

Kermit Gosnell, Fast and Furious, ClimateGate, Obama’s troubling past, and the IRS scandal are just a few that come to mind. They have mostly ignored Benghazi too, but now that a Select Committee has been established to investigate the tragedy, the MSM is grudgingly reporting on it – mostly from the angle that Republicans are in danger of politicizing it.

Here are a couple of the latest examples of media non-reportage via Newsbusters.

Tim Geithner Admits White House Told Him to Lie to Media, Charlie Rose Spends an Entire PBS Hour Avoiding the Topic

Charlie Rose invited on Timothy Geithner for the entire hour on his PBS show to plug his new memoir but never once asked him about the juiciest nugget in the book – that the White House told Geithner to lie to the media.

On Monday’s edition of PBS’s Charlie Rose show, the CBS This Morning co-host never got around to asking the former Treasury Secretary about his revelation that White House senior adviser Dan Pfeiffer pressured him to lie to the likes of Rose’s CBS colleague, Face the Nation host Bob Schieffer.

An example of a question Rose did choose to ask Geithner on the May 12 show: “President Obama. He wrote you, I think at some point in 2013 when you were leaving, and basically said, ‘Alexander Hamilton would be proud.’ Am I right about that?”

Hard hitting stuff – that.

Get used to copious amounts of non-reportage on stories unflattering to Hillary Clinton for the next few years, too. She refused to label Boko Haram terrorists? Hey, that’s none of your business.

93% of Network Stories on Nigerian Kidnappings Ignore Hillary Clinton Refusing to Label Boko Haram as Terrorists

One of the exceptions is NBC’s Andrea Mitchell, who says, Alleged Delay’ in Labeling Boko Haram a Terror Group Being Used to ‘Go After’ Hillary Clinton.

Pathetic.
