Red Flags Galore on Bergdahl Swap

In response to Red flags all over the Bergdahl swap:

The Haqqani terrorist network is considered to be a “Taliban affiliate” which explains the confusion among many in the media – including me – on who exactly it was that held Bergdahl captive. The fact that 18 armed Taliban militants were present during the swap only added to the false perception.

But much more has come out since I posted that story, yesterday morning, that puts it in a  much different light than I initially took it. You’re right – there are red flags all over the place.

Details about the circumstances surrounding Bergdahl’s desertion are being leaked onto the internet. And if the stories I’m reading from his former comrades are true, they paint a very disturbing picture.

Then there’s the Arabic speaking dad with his Talibanesque (or should I say Haqqaniesque) beard deleting a very odd tweet, recently.

Apparently, the elder Bergdahl is known to retweet pro-Taliban accounts – who by the way, see this swap as a major victory in the global war on terror.

Mullah Omar, the reclusive head of the Taliban, has purportedly released a statement hailing the transfer of the top five Taliban commanders from Guantanamo to Qatar. Omar says their freedom is a “great victory.”

Neil Munro of The Daily Caller reported on Mr. Bergdahl’s reaction to the news.

Obama used a Rose Garden press event to tout the surprise trade — which he won by making critical, last-minute concessions — while the parents of the freed soldier, Bowe Bergdahl, stood alongside.
At the end of brief event, the soldier’s father, Bob Bergdahl, recited the most frequent phrase in the Koran — “Bismillah ir-Rahman ir-Rahim” –which means “In the name of Allah, most Gracious, most Compassionate.”
After Bergdahl finished his statement and his praise for Allah, Obama hugged him.

There are going to be investigations, and if the Obama Regime’s past behavior is any indicator –  cover-ups regarding this whole putrid affair.

Fox News contributor Richard Grenell says he’s hearing from Bowe’s former platoon members and they all have stories to tell. So far the MSM has not picked up on this aspect of the story.
